In conjunction with a requirement for a medal over at MamaBlogga’s BlogOlympics and just because I want too, I would like to host a Group Writing Project.
My blog is fairly new and I don’t know just how many readers I’ve got, so I may have few to no takers on this, but I’ll give it a try anyway.
The theme for the writing project is:
A person who changed my life
I want to know about one person who changed your life, for better or for worse. Did you actually know this person or was it a stranger in a cafe? Was it one brief moment or did the change come on gradually? Most importantly, what exactly did they do that changed your life? Feel free to write in any style.
If you haven’t got a blog but want to participate, you can email your entry to me and I will publish it here. If you have already published a post on this subject, you can use that for your entry. But only new posts (dated between the 13-19 of August 2007) will be eligible for the prize.
A prize you say?
Yes indeed, how could I not offer a bribe prize for participation?
One lucky participant whose name will be drawn at random, will win a jar of CRABTREE & EVELYN Revitalising Mineral Soak: A blend of Epsom and Dead Sea salts to help ease fatigue and stress. Peppermint oil cools and refreshes, while sea algae and matricaria extracts (camomile) soothe and soften the skin. A $20 value! Winner will be announced August 20, 2007.
When you have written and published your entry please send an email to:
summeresque (AT) mail (DOT) com, and include ALL of the following:
1. Your name
2. Your email address
3. The title of your post
3. Your Post URL (not just the URL to your main page)
All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on August 19, 2007. Please link back to this post in your entry.
Thanks, and have fun writing!
Oooh, I’ll have to give this one some thought. I have several people who caused life changing events for me.
A tempting contest for writers. Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to see what I can come up with.
You might also be interested in checking out a contest on my blog. It’s called “Spotlight the Youth” and there are some great prizes. Everyone is welcome to enter, so please do share this information with as many people as possible. The closing date for entries is August 31st.
Great idea for a contest! I posted about it on my blog to help spread the word for you… 🙂

*perk* A contest for writers? I’m so in!
Now … off to do some brainstorming …
A great idea…and your post was fantastic…but I am totally not a writer. But as one name enters my head I think I might be able to do this. Maybe.
What fun! I have a few people in mind, but how to write about them?
Thahnks for hosting.

Summer- I am so sorry I missed the opportunity to participate. I’ve been away travelling and am enjoying reading all the responses and hope my own GWP will be as successful as yours.
Damn! I missed the deadline. I’ll look for your next group writing project. I enjoy participating!
